Commitee Meeting July 3rd 2004
The president informed the meeting that he held a private meeting with Antonio Escudero. He asked Mr Escudero to agree to sign minutes to this meeting but he refused to do so. Pepe reported that despite the court ruling Escudero still considers himself to be president. He further claimed that his legal representatives are now referring the court ruling for appeal at a higher court. He refuses to co-operate in any way with the community until this appeal is heard.
Antonio Escudero accuses Simon Edgington of misinforming the community through the Mi Sol Park Web Pages. Simon Edgington's reaction at the meeting to this comment was that it is Antonio Escudero who is misinforming the community in his relentless efforts to cause disruption to its legally elected committee.
The president informed the meeting that Antonio Escudero has received the sentence of the court but simply holds it in contempt by refusing to adhere to it.
The meeting was informed that there is a problem with the employment status of Lucas the Gardener. There exist issues with the social security which will need to be resolved if we are to be able to employ him.
It has been decided by the committee that the time has come to appoint an administrator to ensure continuity of management of the park. This will be attended to at the earliest convenient time.
Work is to continue on the issue of dangerous trees.
Quotes have come in for Asphalt which were considered to be too expensive. It was reported that due to the continuous disobedience of Escudero and his party there are still owners taking advantage of this situation and not settling their accounts. There is an amount in excess of 100.000 euros outstanding to the community by owners. Until respect for the community is restored and this large outstanding debt by owners is greatly reduced, the community will have to suffer the consequences of the actions of these irresponsible owners.
Part of the thinking that it is now wise to appoint an administrator is the collection of outstanding debt. This should be carried out by a professional body so that there is no personal animosity between neighbours. It is this personal animosity that has bred the movement against the president. And previous presidents!
