2008-01-08-Unofficial Meeting

Neill welcomed Carol to the meeting.  The first thing on the agenda was Mr. Derek Olive’s offer to pay 30,000.00 Euros to have the pool repaired by a reputable professional company in exchange for 2 plots of land belonging to Mi-Sol Park.  This was put to the committee and approved, unfortunately after further investigation one of the plots of land is still on the Escritura as an official entrance and can only be sold after being put to the vote at an AGM, however the 2nd plot could be sold, Rosario is to write to Gerry Conway’s son to come to some arrangement regarding his personal possessions.  Owners that had attended the committee meeting wanted to know “if we do get enough money, why it should be spent on the pool as opposed to the roads”.  A final decision will be taken on the pool at the end of February when all Comunidad money from owners should have been paid.

Legally fees are due by the end of January.
The bar contract has been translated into English at a cost of 185.60 Euros.
An increase in the cost of Electricity amounting to 3.3% will be added to all bills issued during May, when the next meter readings will be taken.  The committee voted and agreed on this measure.
Banco Banestro has collected 226.69 Euros from Jose Macovers.
Rosario will go to the courts to obtain a “right to sell” on all embargoed property.  Rosario will be consulted as to whether it is legal to disconnect water and electric meters from embargoed properties.

APYME have submitted their invoice for October, at first glance it does not appear to be correct, Neill will look into the matter of the 266 euros charged for printing.

Tony Greenhead, plot 326 wishes to be considered for part time employment as a handyman.  This is being considered.  The committee agreed that Steve Foley should be given has back-pay as soon as he submits his account of monies owing.

The committee voted that one piece of equipment should be purchased each year, to help with the general maintenance of Mi-Sol Park.  It was voted that the cost of an industrial road sweeper should be looked into.

It was voted that as it is illegal to add SUMA to the cost of a lockup, the overall price of renting the lockups should be increased by 15 euros per quarter lockup.

Telefonica is still causing problems although the phone as been disconnected.  Emilia is dealing with this.

Neill will reply to a letter received from the Association de Vecinos, with the purpose of joining.

Owners who are using Mi-Sol land for their own purposes to the exclusion of any other owners will be charged a yearly rental, to make sure the land always belongs to Mi-Sol Park.  Each case will be judged on its own merits.  Contracts need to be drawn up for the relevant parties.

Because of a recent spate of burglaries the situation regarding the gates is being looked into again by Rosario.  Rosario will also look into the matter of wheel clamping.

The committee agreed that in view of the fact that Paco and Jim Gwynne are letting their 2nd house, they should be charged extra Comunidad.

There has been a proposal to alter the drainage system, which will effect the building work carried out by Mr. A. Hansen.

It was proposed that a notice to quit was issued to Snr. Gregario regarding the use of lockup no 1 as he is selling his property.

A proposal was made to empty the library and turn it into 2 lockups.  This is being handled by Mrs. C. Whalley and Mrs. C. McCarthy with several other people volunteering their services.

A 300 Euro cheque was issued to Rosario as payment for getting a NIF number for one of the three “names” Mr. Myall.  A solicitor in England may have to go and see him.
