2008-01-22-Committee Meeting

22/01/2008******************Official Meeting******************************

Present: N. Stacey, P. Olive, J. Hanrahan, L. Foley, A. Impey, P. Whitehead, J. Titterton. L. Jimenez, Alberto the Administrator -----Absent without apology. Mrs. Carol McCarthy, and Shelagh Shaw both due to illness.

Alberto brought a list of debtors, Neill decided on the 1st 20 to be taken to court. The courts in Spain will not allow all debtors to be taken to court at the same time, therefore they have to be sent in batches.

We have a new quote for the pruning of the trees on site. This includes the removal of all rubbish. 2150.00 Euros. It was voted on and agreed unanimously to accept this quote and for the work to start on Monday. Neill and L. Foley will be overseeing this work.

Neill is still making enquiries into joining the Association de Vecinos, contact has been made and we are waiting for their reply.

Neill returned the November factura to Alberto as it is incorrect. We have not yet received the December factura. Alberto was asked to supply a factura each month, so we may know how much we have to pay and what we are being charged for.

Alberto was asked for the 2nd time to forward a copy of the minutes of the last two meetings (4/10/07, 18/12/07 and now 22/01/08) to Mi-Sol Park. He was also asked to find out the name and address of the owner of 492. Information has been sent to his office on this matter.

The facturas with Telefonica have at last been sorted out by Emilia and the final bill (46 Euros) paid from the petty cash.

There have been 3 quotes submitted for the repair of the swimming pool
  1. 61,650.00 Euros + IVA @ 16%
  2. 36,000.00 Euros + IVA @ 16%
  3. 32,912 + iva @ 16%
Various solutions have been presented and all will be looked into.
Mi-Sol’s water bill for the year is 40,000.00 Euros.
Water charged to owners only amounts to 20,000.00 Euros.

Clara has had a meeting with Neill to try and resolve her situation. She states that she has paid monies to Paco, but so far as not produced any receipts.

Clara was instructed by the courts to pay Mi-Sol park 13,000.00 Euros plus court costs, total 17,000. 00 Euros. As she only paid 13.000 Euros into the courts, we believe they took 3,000.00 and Mi-Sol received 10,000.00 Euros. The money was collected in cash by Pepe and paid into Banco Popular. Clara has since appealed against this decision and lost the case. Her business account has been embargoed. We are now waiting for more information from Rosario.

S. Foley has submitted his claim for his back pay which amounted to 650.00 Euros, payment was approved unanimously and will be made shortly.

A 2nd letter to Sue Jones is to be delivered by Lynn Jimenez by hand.

There is a court judgement issued against Kevin Murphy for the sum of 1714.00 Euros.

Still waiting for the letter to A. Hansen to be translated into Danish.

New laws issued by the Spanish Government state that any one who owns property in Spain must have an N.I.E. number. In order to be accepted on the “Padron” you must have a Residencia.

Mr. Myall went to a local solicitor and relinquished any claims on Mi-Sol Park, this still requires legal confirmation from England and an N.I.E. number to be acquired for him.

The gardeners car is to be fixed and working ready for the next party of volunteers.
D. Olive is to oversee this.

Mr. T. Evans has volunteered to get the strimmer fixed.

Mr. Tom Connelly was invited to join the committee and accepted, it was explained to him that his position would be that of Vocal Assistant and he would not be eligible to vote
