Neill had invited Rosie from the gardening company. to attend the meeting and explain what plans there were for a future contract. Minimum of 2 persons to continue to:
1. Keep weeds under control,
2. Spraying for mosquito’s
3. Sweep the roads and the clearing of garden rubbish.
More people would be brought in when necessary. The contract will be renewable on a monthly basis at a cost of 800 Euros per month. This works out cheaper than employing 1 gardener full time, the committee voted unanimously in favour. L. Foley volunteered to oversee the gardeners progress.
There is 30,000 Euros in the bank account, from this 4,000 is due to be paid to Iberdrola and 3,300 as part of an 8.000.00 debt owed by Pepe for Social Security Payments over due for Juan the gardener relating to 2006 and 4 months during 2007. This will be paid this week and Neill is of the opinion this is possibly the final payment.
The swimming pool contract has arrived, the first payment of 10,000 Euros will be due in May, the second in June and a third in July all for the same amount. From August there will be 12 monthly payments of 2,000 Euros to complete the cost of the new pool and to pay for maintenance. This will ensure the safety aspects and permit the pool to be open all year round. The committee voted 4 - 2 in favour of the contract to be signed. A security key system is being investigated to ensure unwanted guests are not allowed in.
Neill signed a cheque for 2140.13E. in favour of APYME. This relates to the March 2008 and June 2007 facturas. There is still an outstanding credit of 844.12 Euros
A Spanish owner has now said he will start to pay his bills through Banco Popular. He has varied receipts from different sources. It was decided that the gentleman would put into writing his request for these receipts to be taken into consideration, and that the administrator would write back explaining that this sort of decision has to go before an AGM.
There is a petition in the office for complaints against Clara’s tenants, anyone who wishes to sign it may do so.
It was suggested that IN and OUT signs be put at the front entrance.
The outcome of the bar insurance should be known by the end of this week.
Snails are rampant at the bottom end of the site, the remedy is for people affected to put down slug pellets.
Neill is to establish if, as elected president he has the automatic right to sign Escrituras
