16.02.

Minutes of last meeting passed around for reading.

A request that Mrs Jackie Braim join the committee as a vocal was agreed unanimously.

Bank statement: €13,764.45.  During the last two weeks €12,182.90 has been paid out :
Electric  €3069.97
Lawyers   €2001.00
Pool  €5000
Water  €851.07
Water  €1235.86
Bank commission  €25.00
Still to be paid APYME  €2140.13

After the Elche court case judgement, it was anticipated that the money in the Cam bank would have been transferred.  Paco and his administrator stated that although they accept the judgement, the courts allowed them to open their own account in Mi-Sol’s name and have submitted paperwork to this effect, the matter has been left in the hands of the Cam banks lawyers.

It was agreed at the informal meeting of 18th May that both administrators would meet to scrutinise both sides accounts, after several cancellations on behalf of Lavado this meeting finally took place but Lavado only produced accounts from 2003.

There has still been no sign of Rosie and the gardeners although she has said they will be on the park by the end of this week.  It was agreed to wait for the end of the week and if she lets us down again we will look for another contractor, in the mean time A Impey will make enquiries into others that offer this service.

The payments that Social Security has taken from the bank relate to employees of the other faction, Pepe refused to pay as he did not employ them and neither did the other side.  The amount plus fines totalled more than €8,000, this has been paid.
This is one reason why it is beneficial to the community not to employ individuals but use contractors.  On the advice of APYME there will be no appeal as it would be lengthy and it is likely any appeal would be lost.

The second payment of €5,000 has been paid to the pool contractors and work is progressing to schedule.  Concrete should be poured in next week. The contractors are going to investigate using video equipment where the water was disappearing to and if there has been any long term damage.

Neill had a visit from a couple on Toretta Florida requesting the temporary removal of our boundary wall so that access can be available to digging equipment to their property for the building of a pool.  Neill agreed and the couple have agreed to repair any damage afterwards.

Plot 372- as agreed at the last meeting the piece of land in front that the owner wishes to rent has been measured, it measures 47.2 sq m, this is surprisingly larger than was thought.  Neill will discuss this with the owner before confirming rental by letter.

With reference to last meetings minutes regarding the owner owing more than €8,000, it would appear that the court case cannot be suspended because this owner still owes the lawyers money.  It is up to this owner to come to some arrangement for payment with the lawyers.

The Bar terrace opened 1st June, there is still a problem with the electric meter, a new meter needs to be fitted but further investigation needs to be undertaken to ascertain as to why the meter melted.  The question was asked who pays for the electric used on the terrace, it was agreed that Mi-Sol pays.  A suggestion was made that a new meter and cable be fitted and also that the casita be moved inside the terrace.  Agreed unanimously.

More vandalism has been noticed carried out by youngsters, the latest being grafitti on an owners house.  If any owner should see the culprits it would be useful to take a photo so that the parents can be confronted before taking this evidence to the police.

Two teenagers were shown off the park after it appeared that one was teaching the other to drive a scooter.  The consequences of an accident with no insurance would be costly to some poor owner.

After the recent rain, the drain at the bottom of the park has filled with slurry and leaves and needs to be cleared.  L Foley will take note and pass it on to the gardeners.

It looks like kids have vandalised the derelect plot next to J Nicholson, there appears to be an unpleasant smell coming from the said plot.  Ray offered to have a look to see if there is a problem.

A lengthy discussion took place with regards to Clara and the embargo.  Neill gave a detailed explanation and is still waiting to hear from the courts as to what happens next.

The pool contractors are using the double lock-up (library) for storing their equipment, when the pool is completed this lock-up will be available for rent.

It was mentioned that Steve (Splodge) was in hospital.  Well wishes for a speedy recovery.

Next meeting will be 24th June.  Meeting closed 16.56
