Mi-Sol Park Comunidad de Propietarios
MI-SOL PARK COMMUNITY OF PROPERTY
OWNERS EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL
MEETING 27th NOVEMBER 2010
In Torrevieja (Alicante) al ten a.m. on 27th November 2010, the Extraordinary General Meeting for the co-owners of the Community "Mi-Sol Park" called for that purpose in the Mi-Sol Community Office, which was attended or represented attached list contained in Annex i to this record, and our solicitor from the Office of Andreu + Alenda. for the purpose of Residents to cast their vote for new Committee Members.
AGENDA
I. - Election of new committee members
At 10.45 Geoff Brown who arranged the E.G.M spoke to the residents and the Lawyer for Mi-Sol translated.
Firstly he thanked everyone for making the effort to attend, but for him and quite a few other residents they thought it was something that needed to be done. This E.G.M had been called to try and sort out the voting that was done at the A.G.M. mainly to elect a new committee.
At the A.G.M one of the first items voted for was whether to have a closed vote or an open vote. It was an overwhelming majority to have a closed vote. He believed it to be about 80%. This was carried out with the people who put there names forward to be entered on to the voting slips and then we had another 3 candidates who decided to put themselves forward at the last minute.
It was impossible for the President to have a closed vote for these three candidates as there were no voting slips prepared to include them and therefore an open vote had to take place.
The object of this E.G.M. was to have an orderly closed vote as the majority wanted originally to elect new members onto the Committee who are serious about helping Mi Sol Park.
Voting started at 9.45am and a total of 100 votes were cast, Sonia Evans and Patricia Ainger checked the numbers.
A majority of 51 votes would be required for any new member to be on the Committee. The Lawyer undertook the counting of the votes, and was checked by Mr. J Brown and Mrs.V. Varney.
All nominees apart from Mrs. J. Titterton were elected to the committee with more than the 51% majority.
OTHER MATTERS
Concern was voiced by several residents both Spanish and English regarding the robberies taking place on Mi Sol and it has been re-iterated by the Spanish residents that because we had a majority vote for the gates at the A.G.M to be re-instated this can be done and it would be up to those who voted against it to take Mi Sol to court and they too would have to pay any costs involved.
