2000-09-02-Pre-AGM Notes

LAST UPDATE 8th September 2000
NOTES FROM THE COMMITTEE MEETING MI SOL PARK ON SATURDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER 2000

Present were :- Pepe Enrique Sheila Ron John Mountford Liverpool John John Robbins One Observer Meeting opens @ 10-15 a.m.

Pepe indicates two vehicles have been removed from site at a cost to Mi Sol of 3500 Pesetas each. Sheila asks why Mi Sol has to pay, Pepe answers that one was a Saab Belonging to B.J. whose whereabouts are unknown, the other being the ex gardeners' ex car which was burnt out recently, allegedly by children. Mention was also made of a green Ford van apparently abandoned by Lee,
John Robbins indicated that he had told Lee to remove it by Monday or it would also be towed to the scrapyard. At the time of writing 1am Tuesday morning the van is still there.

Questions were asked about the non payment of money due for two individual plots outstanding for some years, Pepe indicated that the people concerned had been told that if payment was not received within two weeks, the plots would be sold off to other people wanting to buy them.

At this point it was difficult to keep track as there appeared to be three separate meetings going on at the same time.

Pepe said that a balance sheet will be available at the A.G.M., the accounts would show a negative balance at on point due to the cost of roadwork's, but by the end of June a positive balance of some 6 million Pesetas was expected

Pepe reported a boy had been caught by the Police, on site, recklessly driving his Fathers' car without permission, or legal documentation.

A discussion was held regarding the swimming pool, Ron asked when it would close as there were rumours going round, regarding imminent closure due to safety reasons.

Pepe replied the pool would close at the normal time unless a catastrophic leak occurred. He said the had been inspected weekly by an engineer from San Pedro. He would be carrying out a survey in October to determine the full extent of the damage .. The cost of these inspections was not known at this point. A change to the issuing of pool entry cards was proposed for next year, instead of the present one card allowing entry for up to five people, five separate cards would be issued to each property owner. This was designed to make it easier to keep out people not entitled to use the pool.

A discussion ensued about the appointment of an interpreter for the A.G.M no one appointed yet.

John Mountford asked if authorisation of peoples voting rights could be done a week before the A.G.M to save time on the day. Pepe replied this was already planned.

Sheila mentioned the Suma bills now in the office, and indicated that under new rules if people didn't pay them the amounts owed would be automatically deducted from Mi Sols account by the Town Hall.

A discussion took place regarding Ramona and the missing accounts. Pepe said if she attended the A.G.M she would not be allowed to speak. Regarding the missing accounts the College of Administrators had ruled that if Mi Sol paid Ramona ½ million Pesetas she would have to hand over the accounts for 1997/98. This ruling is apparently not legally binding, and Pepe refuses to agree to it on the grounds that Mi Sol want all the missing papers from previous years to be returned. Pepe reported that Brian Worswick told him that he had no papers, Ramona had them all, but that Brian had offered to ask Ramona himself for the return of the papers. When asked how the situation was going to be resolved Pepe said that it would have to put in the hands of our lawyer, this could be difficult though as our lawyer is Ramonas' cousin.

Pepe reported that Mi Sol has now got back 196,000 Pesetas of the cost of removing the gates, this was after payment of the lawyers fees of 40,000 Pesetas.

Sheila proposed Mi Sol took two owners to court for debts owing, one of which owes 502,000 Pesetas.

A Debtors list is to be prepared for the A.G.M..

The next committee meeting will be on Saturday 23rd September.

Pepe said some people from Park Naciones were caught using our shower block.

The previous Gardner had apparently been caught repairing fridge's, car radios tvs etc in working time, Pepe said he had been alerted to this situation by an owner.

Pepe is very pleased with the new Gardner so far, who is on a month's trial. It was reported the new Gardner had been recently released from prison, but it was stressed that he had not committed any criminal offence but was to do with a family matter.
Pepe said a caseta had been knocked down by a motor car, Herrara was suspected of being the culprit.
The meeting closed @ 11-00 a.m.

This is a general observation of the meeting, no personal views are expressed or implied.
