Extraordinary Committee Meeting - 20thApril 2010

Pool.We have been reliably informed that the pool contractor has absconded. After consulting with the lawyer, we have arranged for an inspection of the outstanding repairs to take place. The result of which along with the contract will be given to the lawyer so that they can make some investigations. So that the pool will be functional for the season, a temporary repair will take place. The result of the inspection indicating costs etc. will be presented to the community at the AGM in September for a decision as to how we move forward.
Gardener
We now have the information with respect to the cost of the gardener having an assistant. To comply with paying a minimum wage on a part time basis it seems that the assistant would be getting more money than that of the gardener at present. When the gardener started a year ago there was not enough funds to pay him a minimum wage, therefore it was unanimously agreed to increase the gardener's money to fall in line with the minimum wage and put the idea of an assistant on hold. It is generally felt that he is doing a good job to the best of his ability considering the size of the park and we ask owners to be patient.
