2008-12-04-Committee Meeting

Committee meeting – 4th December 2008

Present: Mo Taunton, L. Foley, P. Whitehead, S. Shaw, J. Braim, L Jiminez,  P Hopkins

Bank Balance:  8,834.82 Euros.
Visit to administrator to negotiate fees, it was agreed that APYME will reduce their fees for 1 year to 700 euros monthly to be reviewed at the end of the year. 
Two visits have been made to Rosario (lawyer), the court case mentioned at the EGM will go ahead in Madrid but will likely not take place for at least a year.  In the meantime it has been decided to continue with taking the debtors to court, a new list will be drawn up and put to APYME to prepare the certificados. 
Rosario noticed that the water bill was exceptionally high in August and has given us the correct paperwork to complete and hand into the Town Hall so they can investigate.  Peter H to do this.
Gardening – Lucas has been approached to do 3 days work, initially to strim the top garden outside the office and clear the rubbish by the gardeners skip.  The agreement made for them to pay 300 euros monthly still stands, for this work carried out we will deduct 150 euros from their account and they will pay 150 euros for this month only.
The Pool contractors have asked for their payment of 2,500 euros for December, after discussions it was agreed they will accept 1,000 for December and January 2009 and we will try to make up the deficit when there are available funds.
There are still problems with the lighting.  S Shaw will ask J Munoz to do the work, payment to be deducted from his debt.
Future committee meetings will be held in the office on the first Thursday of each month at 2.30pm, the next meeting will be 8th January 2009.  The following Tuesdays there will be an informal gathering of owners in the bar at 2.30pm for questions and answers, committee members are requested to attend.  It was decided that there was no need for APYME to attend these informal gatherings, they will be asked to attend some committee meetings.
